A delegation from the Construction and Transportation Committee of the Incheon Metropolitan Council, South Korea, visited the Piraeus Port Authority, with the aim of exchanging views on port management and the development of the cruise industry.
The eleven-member delegation, led by the Chairman of the Committee, Daejung Kim, met with the CEO of Piraeus Port Authority S.A., Su Xudong, and senior executives of the company.
Particular emphasis was placed on the continued growth of the cruise industry in Piraeus, which has seen record-breaking passenger traffic and increasing homeport activity.
Strategic investments in infrastructure and technology have played a key role in this expansion, with pre-bookings for 2025 already indicating another potential record year.
The visit provided a platform for exchanging insights on port management and other common fields of interest, confirming the constantly increasing importance of the port of Piraeus in the global port industry.
