Greece-based Erma First over the weekend opened a branch office in the major Korean port city of Busan, with a relevant ceremony attended by the company’s Korean representatives (Magna Mare), local customers, lawmakers and staff members.
Erma First managing director Konstantinos Stampedakis noted that the company’s new branch in Korea aims to better serve its existing client base in the country and its ambition to offer its expertise in all major maritime centers around the world
“We believe that our new offices in such an important, market wise, location will expand our services range, this will allow us to further provide our support to all Korean shipyards and will also enable us to respond to real-time demand,” Stampedakis said.
The opening of the new Erma First branch office in Busan is part of the Greek company’s long-term growth strategy to expand overseas.
Erma First designs and manufactures innovative ballast water treatment systems (BWTS) in compliance with the latest EU legislation and international regulations. Erma First BWTS FIT holds USCG-Type approval and AMS acceptance letter, Final Approval by the IMO and Type Approval by LR.
According to a press release, the BWTS FIT is an advanced modular system developed to exceed all special installation requirements, and covering an extensive capacity range of 50-3740 m3/hr.
