The Bank of Greece (BoG) on Monday announced that the central government cash balance recorded a surplus of 843 million euros over the first two months of 2018, compared to a surplus of 1.592 billion euros in the same period of 2017.
The primary cash surplus reached 2.056 billion euros, down from 3.292 billion euros over the same period last year.
During the Jan-Feb 2018 period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to 8.216 billion euros, compared to 7.563 billion euros in the corresponding period of last year.
Ordinary budget expenditures, including expenditures of about 30 million euros for the repayment of arrears (compared to 78 million euros last year), amounted to 7.265 billion euros, down from 7.701 billion euros in January-February 2017.
