Traffic in GERMANOS stores increased compared to last year, reaching 13.5 million customers

The year 2023 proved to be another successful year with strong performance for GERMANOS stores. The partners of the network made an assessment of the past year and were informed about the 2024 development goals, always putting the customer and his needs at the center.

The applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in the retail industry and the use of smart devices were some of the topics that dominated the conference.

“GERMANOS is always ahead of developments. With a clear strategy and plan, with new products, upgraded stores, immediate and personalized services. In 2024, we will continue to invest in excellent customer experience, with innovative solutions and even better services,” Thanasis Stratos, Chief Customer Operations Officer of OTE Group and president and CEO of GERMANOS, emphasized at the conference.

Growth in all key product categories in 2023

Traffic in GERMANOS stores increased compared to last year, reaching 13.5 million customers. Product turnover rose significantly, while the chain also achieved all its goals in telecom services. The performance in fixed connections was excellent, especially in Fiber To The Home, where sales increased significantly compared to the previous year. An increase in mobile, mainly from portables, was also recorded, while in Cosmote TV connections, GERMANOS achieved record sales in recent years. Corporate connections also increased on an annual basis.

In mobile phones, GERMANOS remained consistently No. 1, while the market share was also high in accessories, smartwatches, gadgets and televisions. As noted at the conference, GERMANOS remained the No. 1 destination for service (mobile & technology products), while value-added services, such as G Click & Collect, security and the device warranty extension (G Warranty Plus), G Tattoo and G Photoprint.

Emphasis on customer experience and smart technologies in 2024

With 250 stores throughout Greece, GERMANOS will also place emphasis on the experience of customers, individuals and businesses, in 2024. It will continue to strengthen its stores with new G Prime stores throughout Greece, with new product categories such as Smart Home and home appliances, with more digital elements, and with an improved e-shop.

In 2024 GERMANOS will focus on the possibilities that smart devices give to consumers’ everyday life. Devices that can be controlled remotely through their smartphone or tablet, enjoying more comfort, safety and energy savings. In GERMANOS, consumers will find a wide range of smart products, from top brands, the Tech Experts, the technology consultants, will help them choose the appropriate devices, while COSMOTE’s specialized technicians will undertake the study of the space, the installation, and also the connectivity of devices in the smart home.
