The Marina of Flisvos, which celebrates 20 years of operation this year, has developed into a place of economic activity and recreation.
The managing director of the Flisvos Marina, Stavros Katsikadis, pointed out that the company has a turnover of 22 million euros per year, directly and indirectly offers 1,500 well-paid jobs, while at the same time it has contributed over 350 million euros to the Greek economy and the local community.
He also spoke about the future investment plans in the marina, which include the installation of a 5G & fiber optic network on all piers, a charging network for electric boats and a photovoltaic power generation system.
As for the challenges, he said that these relate to climate change, energy, artificial intelligence, but also the use of smart technologies.
Katsikadis also pointed out that the Flisvos Marina offers top quality berthing to its customers, with a view to its sustainable development, which means 100% power supply to the boats, cleaning of the sea surface and other interactive actions.
He also underlined that the Marina of Flisvos has a series of certifications and awards starting from 2007. Certifications that demonstrate the marina’s commitment to sustainable development, safety, quality of service and the adoption of new technologies.
Offered services
Regarding the service of mega yachts, the port basin reaches a depth of up to 16. Enhanced protection against severe weather conditions has been provided, as well as a high security ISPS area, VIP Concierge, electricity per berth (from 32 to 1,200Amps), as well as drinking water supply per berth.
At the same time, security services are offered on a 24-hour basis and patrols and closed-circuit CCTV cameras.
In terms of car traffic, a total of 652 parking spaces have been provided and created to serve the public and customers, with controlled vehicle access.
In the marina facilities there is a First Aid station with modern equipment and an automatic defibrillator.
Furthermore, there is a telecommunications network & high-speed Internet (ADSL-VDSL) per seat, as well as Wi-Fi throughout the facility, a helipad, fueling station, disabled access facilities, 24-hour port operation with boat and technical mooring staff support.
Finally, there is an installed fire detection and fire extinguishing system in all piers and building facilities, as well as a multipurpose vessel (Firefighting/tow).
