‘Body Talk’ is planning its further expansion in the Egyptian market. The Greek sportswear company has already made its debut in the Cairo market with its first physical store, while at the same time it has also launched an e-shop that serves the wider region.
Despite the highly inflationary situation and the pressures that the company’s profitability received during the last fiscal year, the strategic development planning in 2023 is based both on the strengthening of ‘Body Talk’ in the domestic market, and on the further penetration of the brand in the international markets.
The new store
More specifically, this year is a milestone for the company as it opened its first retail store in Egypt, at Mallof Egypt, one of the top shopping destinations in Cairo for local residents as well as numerous tourists, hosting both important high-end international fashion brands and the most well-known budget friendly brands.
At the same time, the company launched its online store (bodytalk.eg).
The company’s plans include the creation of a second physical store in Cairo, possibly within the year. Beyond the Egyptian market, the company generally looks forward to expanding its brand in foreign markets, both in markets it is already active and new ones.
It should be noted that the company’s exports have a small participation – so far – in the overall image of the turnover, however last year they showed a growth rate of over 35% and their value reached 126 thousand euros.
