EuroDry announced a joint venture with Norwegian investors for two bulk carriers it recently acquired.
In particular, the US-listed company announced a joint venture with investors represented by NRP Project Finance AS for the two ultramaxes Christos K (former Giants Causeway) and Maria (former Sadlers Wells), both built in 2015.
NRP Project Finance was established in 2000 and is a major direct investment management and brokerage firm in the shipping sector. Investors will acquire an ownership percentage of 39% in each ship.
EuroDry said it has taken delivery of one of these vessels, the 63,197 dwt Christos K, noting that it has secured an $11 million sustainability loan with Eurobank to partially finance the acquisition.
