Japan Tobacco International (JTI) has included Greece on its international map for the distribution of the Ploom heated tobacco technology product, an investment totaling 300 billion Japanese Yen.
According to the plan, Greece will play a key role in the distribution and availability of the new product. JTI’s goal is to become one of the leading players in the fast-growing category of heated smoke technology products in the Greek market.
On his part, the Japanese Ambassador to Greece, Nakayama Yasunori, underlined during the presentation of JTI’s new activity in Greece that “this new JTI investment is a clear proof of the confidence that Japan continues to show in the Greek economy and the business community”, while he expressed the hope that “this investment will contribute to the creation of new jobs and the development of the local economy, while strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries.”
