Ports: Positive data for passenger traffic and movement of goods on Q1

The total movements of goods in Greek ports increased by 9.6% in the first quarter of 2023

The total passenger traffic in Greek ports recorded an increase of 16.5 % in the first quarter of 2023 compared with the first quarter 2022, according to the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT).

Moreover, the total movements of goods in Greek ports increased by 9.6% in the first quarter of 2023 compared with the same period last year and the total traffic of mobile units in Greek ports rose by 10.3%.

The survey on traffic of passengers, goods and mobile units in Greek ports is conducted on a monthly basis. It covers all merchant vessels of net tonnage 10 GRT and over which carry passengers’ goods and mobile units by sea to and from domestic and international ports for commercial purposes
