Τhe first draft law of the Finance Ministry, which will reflect the central pre-election commitments of the prime minister, will have been passed by the summer holidays, Kyriakos Mitsotakis stated.
“The central pre-election commitments of New Democracy will be legislatively reflected in the draft law. (…) Many of them have a significant impact on citizens’ incomes. The bill will have been passed by early August,” the prime minister said.
Mitsotakis underlined that “we are optimistic about the gradual transformation of the economy model into a more productive, more extroverted and innovative model. We are convinced that growth will have an impact on improving the incomes of all Greeks, primarily the low-wage earners.”
On his part, the new Finance Minister Kostis Hatzidakis said: “We are optimistic. Firstly, we are stepping on the solid foundations that were laid over the last four years. Secondly, because we have a very positive election result both for the country and for the Greek economy. A result which sends a message of confidence, hope and perspective for the Greek economy.”
